Top-notch lawyer opts for a new challenge
Ursus van Bemmelen has joined Spigthoff Attorneys & Tax Advisers on Curacao, the Netherlands Antilles. Ursus is specializing in insurance law, intellectual property rights (trade marks, patents, copyrights, unfair competition, franchises, licensing agreements, disputes) and litigation.
Ursus studied law, accountancy and philisophy at the Free University of Amsterdam. In The Netherlands he worked as an attorney for NautaDutilh and Kennedy Van der Laan. He also worked as a legal assistant for the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and lectured philosophy at the Free University of Amsterdam.
Ursus hobbies include jazz, deep house, going to the theatre, running and playing chess. He also likes reading, writing and spending time with friends.
